MANILA, Philippines — Government employees across the country can expect to receive their much-anticipated year-end bonus and P5,000 cash gift within the first week of November, according to the Department of Budget and Management (DBM).

In a statement, Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman announced that the year-end benefits will be distributed alongside the first agency payroll for November 2025, in accordance with the provisions outlined in Budget Circular 2024-3.

“The DBM is one with the President in ensuring that our public servants feel the warmth of our Bagong Pilipinas. We know how much government personnel look forward to this time of the year not just because it’s the season of giving, but because it’s a well-deserved recognition of their service and sacrifice,” Pangandaman said.

At a press conference, Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary Claire Castro said the DBM approved the release of P63.69 billion to fund the year-end bonus of civilian and uniformed personnel and another P9.24 billion to finance the distribution of P5,000 cash gift to more than 1.85 million government workers stationed in various offices nationwide.

Pangandaman said the year-end bonus is equivalent to one month of basic pay as of Oct. 31, and the P5,000 cash gift is given annually to reward the hard work and dedication of government workers nationwide.

She said the agency ensures that all funds for the Christmas bonus and cash gift have been comprehensively released at the start of the fiscal year, allowing agencies to process and credit the benefits without delay.

Under DBM rules, employees who have rendered at least four months of service from Jan. 1 and are still in government service as of Oct. 31 are entitled to the year-end bonus and cash gift.

The DBM has reminded all agencies to release the bonuses promptly and in accordance with existing budget circulars.
