Johnn Lemon, Manila Hotel: Philippine visit highlights of John Lennon’s son
MANILA, Philippines — Julian Lennon, the son of music icon and Beatles’ singer-songwriter John Lennon with first wife Cynthia, arrived in the Philippines on March 29 for a visit.
In his Instagram account, the man described in the song “Hey Jude” posted a series of photos shot during his trip in the country. The pictures include Intramuros, Manila Bay sunset, Manila night life, Boracay, bamboo bike and a parody lemon juice called “Johnn Lemon.”
Julian also posted a photo with Christine Jacob-Sandejas and said they were talking about sustainable tourism.
“Chatting w/Christine Sandejas for CNN Philippines, about The WFF & sustainable tourism, amongst other things...” he wrote.
He also posted a photo of the Manila Hotel, the hotel where her father John together with other Beatles members Ringo Starr, George Harrison and Paul McCartney, stayed during their controversial Manila concert in the 1960s.
Apart from touring the country, reports said that Julian was in the country to talk about his foundation, the White Feather Foundation. According to its website, the foundation was created to give a voice and support to those who cannot be heard.
