Early winners of 2018 Miss Philippines-Earth pageant

MANILA, Philippines — With the tagline Diyosa ng Inang Kalikasan, the Miss Philippines-Earth celebrates its 18th year with 40 hopefuls from different parts of the country vying for the 2018 Miss Philippines-Earth crown and title and four subsidiary titles: Miss Philippines-Air, Water, Fire and Ecotourism.
The aspirants walked on the ramp wearing their best resorts wear at Laus Group Event Center in San Fernando, Pampanga last April 21. Winners were (above photo), from left: Gabrielle Camille Basiano, Tacloban City (Bronze); Marla Alforque, Cebu City (Gold); and Silvia Celeste Cortesi, Fil-Rome, Italy.
On April 22, the Trash to Class competition showcasing ensemble made of recycled and trash materials was held at SM Southmall, Las Piñas City. Winners were (photo below), from left: Aime Leysa, Fil-Alberta, Canada (Bronze); Lea Macapagal, Dinalupihan, Bataan; (Bronze); Marla Alforque, Cebu City (Gold); Jansen Geroso, Iloilo City (Silver); and Joanna Krystel Cabrezos, Zamboanga City (Silver).

Reigning queens are Karen Ibasco (Earth), Kim de Guzman (Air), Jessica Marasigan (Water), Neliza Bautista (Fire) and Vanessa Mae Castillo (Ecotourism). They will crown their successors on May 19 at the Mall of Asia Arena with telecast over ABS-CBN on May 20 at 9:45 a.m.
