Paulo Avelino paired with Bea Alonzo for the first time

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines- 2014 is starting well for Paulo Avelino.

While still busy with his current show “Honesto,” Paulo is prepping up for another upcoming tele-serye under Dreamscape and ABS-CBN, “Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon.”

He’ll be paired here for the first time with Bea Alonzo. He will play the role of Bea's employee who eventually falls in love with her.

“Mahal ko ‘tong ginagawa ko,” Paulo said when asked about how he feels for the series of projects he is doing for the Kapamilya network.

“Basta mahal mo ginagawa mo, nag-e-enjoy ka sa ginagawa mo, siguro kahit araw-araw ka nagta-trabaho, siguro parang hindi na siya trabaho. Parang part siya ng daily [routine] mo.”

Though busy with tele-seryes, Paulo still hopes he’ll be able to work on a few films this year.

Last year, he did two independent films: “Debosyon” and “Sana Dati”; and three mainstream films: “The Bride and the Lover,” “Status: It’s Complicated,” and the 2013 Metro Manila Film Festival entry “Pagpag.”

At the moment, there are still no confirmed films for Paulo, but he said he is "hoping to do more movies this year."

Meanwhile, Paulo admits visiting KC Concepcion when the actress fell ill with pneumonia due to lack of rest after working on and promoting the 2013 MMFF entry “Boy Golden: The Arturo Porcuna Story.”

He did not elaborate.

As he also needs to  rest due to the series of projects he is working on, Paulo said he is doing his best to take care of his health.

“Maingat naman po ako sa health ko. Aside from eating healthy food, kumpleto rin naman ako sa supplements and vitamins para siguradong hindi ako magkasakit.”
