Lady solons honored

MANILA, Philippines - Actress-turned-politician Rep. Lani Mercado of Cavite and Anak-Mindanao Partylist Rep. Sitti Djalia Hataman were chosen by Superbrands Marketing International, Inc. as Outstanding Congresswomen for 2013. Of the 87 invited, eight congressmen were chosen based on the merits given by the body. Rep. Lani is also the wife of Sen. Bong Revilla. Hataman, an advocate of environment and women’s rights in Muslim Mindanao, is also the wife of ARMM Regional Gov. Mujib Hataman.
