Jommy's to-die-for body

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - It may sound like a big joke but Jommy Teotico, El Ultimo Participante of ABS-CBN’s Pinoy Fear Factor (PFF) is afraid of cockroaches and other insects.

“Fate could be funny sometimes,” says the 24-year-old model who earned the moniker Scorpio Man in the reality show.

These days, Jommy is riding the wave of popularity via showbiz gigs including a role in Judy Ann-Ryan Agoncillo’s George and Cecil. He shares billing with Fear Factor runner-up Manuel Chua.

Aside from enjoying his P2-M prize that he shared with his family, Jommy endorses the aesthetics institute Beverly Hills 6750 located in 6750 Ayala Avenue. Being one of the clinic’s roster of endorsers may be demanding.

“I see it more of a challenge than a responsibility,” Jommy says.

BH6750’s other celebrity endorsers include two past Miss Universe winners, Dayanara Torres and Gloria Diaz; along with Gloria’s daughter Isabel; and Carla Humphries. Jommy is the clinic’s first male celeb endorser.

“To be a star requires a lot of staying power, and looking good is a requisite,” adds Jommy. “No matter how much you work out, there is always going to be stubborn fat that won’t go away easily despite strenuous workout,” says Jommy.

With a calendar that’s nearly filled out, he admits his gym visits are sometimes stalled.

Good thing BH6750 provides him a physical treatment that allows him to stay in shape.  It’s a non-invasive procedure called Accent, Jommy reveals.

For only 45 minutes to an hour, it is a convenient albeit trouble-free treatment for busy professionals. The procedure is fairly simple according to Dr. Camille Angeles, resident dermatologist of the clinic. “Accent is a popular treatment for body contouring and reshaping,” she says. To achieve it, the surface of the skin is heated. It uses a unipolar or bipolar head that penetrates deeper into tissues for cellulite and fat reduction on the hips, buttocks, arms, and face.

Most popular among men is Accent treatment over the abdominal area. A study reveals that at least one or two inches are reduced in the area. “Best of all, there is no downtime and patients can go back to work or attend social functions,” Dr. Angeles adds. She, however, warns patients looking for a quick fix. Unlike liposuction, which is invasive, Accent requires at least eight to 10 sessions to see dramatic results. It also works best with healthy diet and exercise.
