MANILA, Philippines — After 12 years of hiatus, White Party Manila returned last Saturday at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.

Partygoers were already strutting their stuff in their dazzling pearl white-themed OOTDs. From classy to edgy looks, the entire venue looked like a fashion runway because of the attendees' dazzling white ensembles.

One of the highlights of the evening was the show that featured Janella Salvador, Mimiyuuuh, Chie Filomeno, Alex Diaz, Kirk Bondad, Ron Angeles, and Teejay Marquez,  all in their all-white looks for the special presentation.

Maki opened designer Bang Pineda's fashion show with his hit song "Dilaw," causing the atmosphere in the venue to heat up immediately.

But one of the first to really make the night explode was Marina Summers, who delivered an opening number that immediately raised the energy of the entire crowd.

LGBTQIA+ personalities KaladKaren, John Lapus, and Maxie Anderson also joined in the colorful celebration of pride and inclusivity.

Gloc-9 then rocked the stage as he sang some of his biggest hits, including “Hari ng Tondo,” “Simpleng Tao,” “Upuan,” and of course, the crowd favorite “Sirena” to the accompaniment of singing and cheering from the audience.

Ben&Ben brought excitement and good vibes with their live performance, as fans sang along to each song.

Another highly anticipated part of the evening was the special performance by the SexBomb Girls after they were honored as “Icon of the Year.”

Celebrities and personalities who attended and showed their support for the event included Ice Seguerra and partner Liza Diño, Joey Mead-King, Angie King, director Andoy Ranay, Martin del Rosario and Yayo Aguila.

Party for a cause

Aside from the entertainment and celebrity sightings, the evening was also centered around recognizing allies of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora, and Pasay Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano were honored as Outstanding Allies of the Year for their continued support of inclusivity and equality programs for the community.

But beyond the party, fashion, and performances, the most significant part of the evening was the advocacy for HIV awareness and prevention.

White Party Manila handed over a P1 million donation to LoveYourself, a nonprofit organization that provides HIV awareness, testing, treatment, and support services to the community.

Vice Ganda and organizers from Mentorque Productions personally presented the check to the organization on stage.

According to the organizers, P700,000 was raised from the event, while Mentorque Inc., led by its CEO Bryan Diamante, contributed P300,000.
