"Wansapanataym" presents 'Pinay's Big Sister'.

Xyriel Hailed as ‘Child star of the year’

CEBU, Philippines - “Wansapanataym” star Xyriel Manabat was recently honored as ‘Child Star of the Year’ in the recently held 2012 Yahoo! OMG! Awards. According to the website’s final tally, the Kapamilya child star garnered 56% or more than half of the total combination of the online and text votes in the category.

Meanwhile, Xyriel continues to reign in the hearts of TV viewers in the continuation of her “Wansapanataym” special this Saturday (July 14) where she takes on the role of Pinay, a girl who is not fond of giving way for her youngest sister. As she continues to be self-centered, Pinay becomes greedier when she is given a magical feather that makes the sizes of the things around her a lot bigger. Will Pinay finally learn the value of generosity when she accidentally makes her baby sister larger than her?

Together with Xyriel in the episode are Randy Santiago, Keanna Reeves, Louise Bernardo, Veyda Inoval, Mikylla Ramirez, and Glenda Garcia. It is written by Crisanto Lim and directed by Eriberto Villarin.

“Wansapanataym” is a part of ABS-CBN’s “Bida Best Kid” campaign launched recently that aims to empower children by encouraging them to become who they want to be and the best that they can be. It doesn’t only entertain and educate its young viewers with its values-oriented, child-friendly programs, but supports their dreams and aspirations as well.

Don’t miss the 2012 Prix Jeunesse International Festival Children’s Jury Prize winner, “Wansapanataym” every Saturday, after “Kapamilya: Deal or No Deal” on ABS-CBN. (FREEMAN)
