Volvo V40 CC: Dare to Drive Experience

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Volvo Philippines is willing to give out free fuel* should clients test drive a Volvo V40 CC and still go for its competitor.

In a daring program to show how confident Volvo is in its 2015 V40 CC, the Swedish car brand challenges car buyers to test drive and experience the new hatchback and compare it to its competitors. If, after putting the car through its paces and experiencing its uniquely class-leading delights, and clients still choose other compact premium hatchbacks* over it, Volvo Philippines will gladly shoulder a free tank of fuel and wish you on your merry way.

“The Volvo V40 CC is simply a delight to drive with its all-road capabilities, stunning design and moving performance. We have faith in this versatile, modern, and innovative Volvo, which is why we invite everyone to get behind the wheel and experience the difference of driving a car that is designed around them,” enthuses Volvo Philippines’ president Atty. Alberto B. Arcilla.

Equally friendly on city streets or country roads, the new Volvo V40 Cross Country blends ruggedness and expressive elegance. Available with the new four-cylinder, 2.0L Drive-E powertrain, the V40 CC blends world-class drivability, fuel-efficiency and low CO2 emissions. Mustering a powerful 190hp and 400Nm of torque, this five-door, five-seat premium all-roader features refined off-road inspired details such as the anodized, black high-gloss frame around the greenhouse, the black rear-view mirror housings and the sleek rails floating over the roof. The engine features world-first i-ART technology with pressure feedback from each fuel injector instead of using a traditional single pressure sensor in the common rail.

Stylish and muscular, it is 40mm higher than its standard V40 sibling. Unique Cross Country details, including wheels that are 17-inches in diameter, a front fascia with dark, contrasting bumper, honeycomb mesh grille and upright DRL-lights and the contrasting rear bumper with integrated skid plate enhances its visual volume.

Inside, ergonomics and comfort is emphasized with a wide instrument panel and fluid door design that creates a spacious, “large-car” feeling. The V40 Cross Country is available with Adaptive Digital Display -- a fully graphic instrument cluster that expresses emotional functionality, always displaying the most important information in any given situation right in front of the driver. The driver can choose between three graphic themes: Elegance, Eco and Performance. With Volvo’s unique infotainment system: Sensus, the V40 CC connects to your devices and the outside world to help make the drive easier, safer and more enjoyable.

Being a Volvo, it is naturally equipped with an alphabet soup of safety systems that “talk” to each other to keep all its occupants (and even others outside the car) safe. With an upgraded City Safety technology that is active up to 50kph and an optional Park Assist Pilot, the V40 CC is a sure standout that should serve as a just reward for anyone who wants a car that is designed with their needs and wants in mind.
