New Volvos debut at 2014 MIAS

MANILA, Philippines - Guests at the recently concluded 2014 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) got a treat as Volvo Philippines showcased new Volvo models. Show visitors beheld the All-New V40 Cross Country, the reimagined 2014 Volvo XC60, and a racy Volvo C30--three vehicles that carry the smart luxury characteristics that make driving a Volvo a uniquely enjoyable experience.

All-New Volvo V40 Cross Country

Iconic Volvo C30

The first ever European luxury car make to win as Car of the Year in the Philippines back in 2009, the Volvo C30 has become one of the industry’s most beloved cars. Globally, it has also gathered awards and accolades including titles in the Swedish Touring Car Championships with its partnership with Polestar – Volvo’s global racing partner.

Volvo Philippines, with the cooperation of one of its ardent C30 clients, have come up with a Polestar-powered Volvo C30 inspired by the original racing concept. This Volvo C30 also carries R-Design characteristics wrapped in the trademark Volvo Rebel Blue colors.

The already powerful T5 engine has been further juiced up with the Polestar engine optimization and after just about 30 minutes of the software download, the once 180hp C30 is now a screaming powerhouse generating 295bhp.

Polestar and Volvo has developed the engine upgrade software and has made it available to dealerships as the only engine optimization for Volvo cars without affecting warranty and where the certified fuel consumption and emissions remain unchanged.
