Petron’s Autogasul: The LPG for cars

Petron Corporation, one of the country’s major oil companies, marked the year’s end with another milestone when it formally launched the newest addition to its fuel products. Petron AutoGasul was presented to government officials, industry partners, and the media in an unveiling ceremony led by Department of Energy Secretary Vince Perez, Environment Secretary Elizea Gozun, and Senator Robert Jaworski, held at the Valle Verde Petron Service Station along E. Rodriguez Jr. Avenue in Pasig City.

Petron Auto Gasul is the first publicly-available automotive LPGas brand. It is a suggested alternative transportation fuel that features a unique mix of environmental, operation and ecomonic advantages.

With the introduction of AutoGasul in the local market, Petron Corp. is able to give the public another quality product, while at the same time supporting the national objective of maintaining a quality of air that promotes public health and welfare. Due to its low emissions characteristics, LPGas is known to be the perfect alternative fuel for governments looking to minimize air pollutants and greenhouse effects.

In his speech, Petron president Motassim Al-Ma’ashouq reiterated the oil company’s commitment to product research and development that enables it to continously introduce innovations to constantly meet the demands of the changing times, particularly the call for environment-friendly products. Through the years, Petron has introduced a series of industry "firsts" — the unleaded gas. The XCS brand that minimizes engine emissions, the low sulfur Diesel Max, Blaze which is a premium gasoline with the highest octane rating in the country, and now, AutoGasul in closing, Al-Ma’ashouq gave the assurance that Petron will continue to pursue products innovations that will not just be beneficial to the public but to the environment as well.
