Honoring the global Filipina

BUSINESS CHIC - Johnny Litton - The Philippine Star

FILIPINA WOMEN ARE CHANGING the world! These outstanding Filipinas took center stage at the 13th Filipina Leadership Global Summit held recently at Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa in Cebu. The 100 Most Influential Filipina Women in the World Award recognizes women of Philippine ancestry who are influencing the face of leadership in the global workplace, having reached such status for outstanding work in their respective professions, industries and communities. The awards are based on a worldwide search conducted every year by the Filipina Women’s Network (FWN), a San Francisco based non-profi t professional organization. This year’s cohort of awardees comes from 12 countries. The 2016 FWN summit steering committee was headed by RichPrime Global, Inc. president and CEO Myrna Yao as overall chairperson. Our hardworking friend Myrna is also an awardee herself. Present at the high-powered gathering was the event’s keynote speaker, Vice President Leni Robredo, who received the prestigious NICOLE Award that honors Filipina women whose words, actions, and activism inspire others to act and revolutionize society’s way of understanding traditional beliefs and customs thus leaving behind a Filipino global imprint. Congratulations to Myrna Yao and all the awardees!

A healthy lifestyle for the hardworking professional

THE MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION OF the Philippines (MAP), in partnership with the Empire Centre for Regenerative Medicine (ECRM), held the MAP Networking Fellowship Cocktail at the Baron’s Bar of the Tower Club in Makati. Regarded as one of Manila’s top anti-aging and pain management clinics, ECRM sponsored the occasion which featured Dr. Franklin Domingo, who gave a seminar on pain management, and Dr. Joseph Lee, who talked about sexual aesthetics. The participants, led by its president, lawyer Perry Pe together with MAP member and MAP Membership Committee vice chairman Grace Palma- Tiongco, who served as the moderator, enjoyed the fellowship amidst free-fl owing cocktails and stimulating conversations. Congratulations to the Management Association of the Philippines and the Empire Centre for Regenerative Medicine Clinic for a successful event!
