Kids of overseas Pinoys nominations ongoing

MANILA, Philippines - The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) and its 2010 Outstanding Expat Pinoy Children awardees, together with Vice President Jejomar Binay, Makati City Mayor Jejomar Erwin Binay Jr., Ayala Land president Antonino Aquino and Ayala Land chairman Fernando Zobel de Ayala attended the inauguration of the VIPinoy Lounge at the Glorietta 5 Atrium in Makati City. The lounge provides customized facilities and perks for the convenience of overseas Filipinos and their families through unparalleled services, and privileges in Ayala Malls and Ayala-managed malls. The awardees called on the youth to join this year’s Search for the Ten Outstanding Expat Pinoy Children of BPI, the country’s largest search for children of OFWs. The search is open to college students not more than 21 years old, with no failing grade and with a parent holding a current work contract abroad. Seven students will be awarded with the Ibang Klaseng Talino award and three students will be given the Ibang Klaseng Community Leader, Ibang Klaseng Entrepreneur, and Ibang Klaseng Artist/Athlete awards. Application period is until Aug.15, 2011.
