FDIC links pay structures to deposit insurance

MANILA, Philippines - The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (FDIC) has proposed a plan to link banks’ compensation structures with the size of premiums paid by institutions into its deposit insurance fund.
The proposal will complement the finalized executive compensation guidelines issued by the Federal Reserve Board, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Office of Thrift Supervision and the FDIC last week.
