East West Bank starts savings fund

-
More and more Filipinos today tend to look for a better investment alternative given the existing interest rate environment.

That’s why East West Bank developed the SecuredFuture Fund, a special five-year savings package that assures depositors of guaranteed yields plus the added security of having insurance benefits for the entire investment period.

If a depositor has P100,000 and puts it in the usual 30-day time deposit, it would probably get a little over two percent in interest less the usual taxes.

"The SecuredFuture Fund assures you of earnings more than thrice as much," asserts Ferdinand G. La Chica, vice-president for marketing support at East West Bank. "As an added benefit, you don’t have to worry about rate fluctuations since your interest rate is fixed for five years," says La Chica.

The limited investment options out in the market today, makes an investment product that guarantees solid earnings a good alternative. That kind of product is ideal for depositors who can afford to spare some money for one’s retirement or pension, or for future needs including children’s education.

The interest rate under the fund program of East West Bank is up to 9.5 percent yearly for investments of P1 million or more, and nine percent yearly for investments below P1 million (rates can be adjusted depending on market trends).

Depositors can avail of the product for a minimum initial investment of only P100,000. Aside from premium interest, the SecuredFuture Fund also provides clients the opportunity to take advantage of tax-free earnings for as long as the five-year term is completed.
