DigiPlus withdraws application for New Zealand gaming license

MANILA, Philippines — DigiPlus Interactive Corp. is not pursuing its application for an online gaming license in New Zealand.
In a stock exchange filing, DigiPlus said it has decided to abstain from the final rounds of the New Zealand auction on the right to apply for an online gaming license.
The company said the decision came “after further market analysis and determination of market values.”
“This results in no impact on the company’s businesses or deviation from the company’s international expansion strategy,” DigiPlus said.
In August, the company said it filed an expression of interest to apply for a gaming license in New Zealand, which could potentially be its third market for international expansion.
DigiPlus made its first international foray into Brazil, a market that offers significant growth potential, with a population exceeding 200 million and strong enthusiasm for sports betting.
However, the company announced in October last year a strategic pause on its first Brazilian brand following the soft launch on Sept. 22, 2025.
