MSpectrum sees higher 2023 income, capacity

Richmond Mercurio - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — MSpectrum, a wholly owned subsidiary of Manila Electric Co. (Meralco), expects to finish the year strong with significantly higher revenues and installed capacity.

MSpectrum president Cecilia Domingo said the company is likely to end the year with revenues of about P500 million, higher than last year’s P300 million.

She said the company’s total installed capacity by yearend is also seen expanding to 60 megawatts (MW).

Majority of MSpectrum’s existing portfolio is located within the Meralco franchise area.

“We will be ending this year with 60 MW. Next year, we hope to add another 30 MW which will bring us to 90 MW,” Domingo said.

“We’re expanding our footprint in the Visayas and Mindanao. That’s been our target since last year. They are part of the 30 MW target next year,” she said.

MSpectrum offers tailor-fit solutions for industrial, commercial, and residential customers through an in-depth understanding of energy consumption behaviors and strategic partnerships with world-class technology partners.

Backed by Meralco’s energy expertise and proven safety track record, the renewable energy company has been providing services and solutions to help customers reduce their costs while taking part in saving the planet.

The company has been actively engaging partners from the private sector in various industries to help them achieve their sustainability goals through clean energy.

MSpectrum is also among the companies eyeing to participate in the first-ever bidding for the development of micro-grid systems in the country.

The winning micro-grid systems providers will be in charge of the construction, installation, maintenance, and operations of micro-grid systems to provide 24/7 electricity services for all existing and projected households in the selected remote areas in the country.
