Memory enhancement seminar set

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Some books say that memorization is an ancient lost art that needs to be perpetuated if we want to maximize the use of our brain potential. Many people have a preconceived notion that memorization is less important than the analysis of data. Analysis of materials has its own place in learning but whether we accept it or not, we cannot deny the fact that there is no learning without memory.

The Golden Treasure Skills and Development Program will conduct a one-day seminar on memory training. This seminar is open to all for kids (nine years old and above), students (college and high school), professionals, businessmen, and adult individuals who find difficulty in memorization as well as for those who would wanted to enhance their memory skill.

This seminar will be held at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City on Oct. 12, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Speaker is Christopher E. Carandang, a two-time world memory athlete who competed in 2011 and 2012 World Memory Championship in China and London in which the Philippine Memory Team got the silver and bronze medal position respectively.

He also conducted memory seminars in countries like Malaysia and Cambodia and other institutions such as Makati Medical Center, Department of Education, University of Makati, University of the Philippines Diliman and Los Baños, Camp Aguinaldo and many more.

Each participant will be given certificate of training right after the seminar. Lunch and snacks will be provided and hand-outs.
