Airphil Express adds new domestic routes

-

MANILA, Philippines - Airphil Express continues to add new routes to its domestic service in response to a growing market that is hungry to explore the archipelago. Beginning Aug. 18, the airline flies from Manila to Ozamiz and Ozamiz to Manila, and from Davao to Iloilo and Iloilo to Davao.

Budget air travel has given customers the flexibility to create vacation options not just in popular out-of-town destinations but also in unfamiliar places that trigger the desire for mystery and adventure. From Manila, one can experience the beauty of Ozamiz, a city that dates back to the Spanish era. The place takes pride in its abundant nature and wildlife, as well as its scenic beaches. Traveling investors on the lookout for business opportunities in the province will also appreciate that tax incentives and speedy document processing are now a reality in the area. Airphil Express will fly to Manila-Ozamiz and vice-versa every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

Visayas and Mindanao, particularly Iloilo and Davao, have distinct cultural and leisure attributes. A short plane ride separates the two destinations, which both possess a mix of the traditional and modern. Iloilo’s beautiful churches, ancestral residences, and historical edifices will reinvigorate the senses, and vacationers there can decide to escape to the beach to swim, dive, and snorkel. At the other end of the route is Davao, home to some of the country’s exotic shores where adventurers can go white water rafting, snorkeling and scuba diving. Eco-adventure trips, visits to nature and animal parks, island-hopping, and zip-lining or rappelling are also some of the activities that travelers can do in Davao. And of course, food enthusiasts will delight in Iloilo’s homegrown La Paz Batchoy, pastries, and native chicken, while Davao is known for the freshest tuna and other seafood. Airphil Express will operate daily flights to Davao-Iloilo and vice-versa.

“There has been a monumental shift in recent years. People who used to go to the provinces by bus and boat (which take much longer) are now starting to travel by air. The minimal cost difference and shorter travel time have made air travel a much more preferable way to tour the country,” says Alfredo Herrera, Airphil Express SVP for Marketing and Sales.
