Food photography workshop set

MANILA, Philippines -  A photography workshop for newbies, beginners, hobbyists and even the experienced wanting to enhance their food photography skills will be inducted by 20-year veteran Ricardo “Rikky” Arquiza on June 11, 2 to 6 p.m. at the Sugarleaf restaurant in Greenhills. After an introduction to food photography, Rikky teaches the importance of set-up, lighting and special effects; props, styling and angles; trends and more. Sugarleaf provides the colorful subjects of each layout from appetizers to salads, soups to sandwiches, desserts to beverages. Bring your camera (whether simple point and shoot or DSLR models) and learn expert tips to maximize its features with available or studio light. Rikky has been into photography here and abroad since 1980 and has apprenticed under renowned photographers Neil Oshima and Joe Chua. He has extensive experience in newspapers and magazines, government, corporate accounts and studio operations before focusing on food, fashion, advertising photography and holding lectures to share his knowledge with more people. Workshop fee is P3,000 per person inclusive of course outline, healthy snacks and certificate. Student, couple, group and senior citizen discounts apply.
