Today’s It girl skyrockets to astronomic heights, enjoys her time in the limelight, then burns out into relative obscurity (hopefully with enough of her talent fees stashed to keep her comfortable for the rest of her life; strike while the iron is hot, ladies) until the next It girl happens along and repeats the cycle.
