Arum clueless on deal between Pacquiao, Khan
Top Rank boss Bob Arum will soon find out the reported deal between Manny Pacquiao and Amir Khan.

MANILA, Philippines – Top Rank Inc. chief Bob Arum so far has no idea on the reported deal between Manny Pacquiao and Amir Khan to fight each other this April.

But the veteran promoter will find out soon.

"I have none. We'll see what we see," Arum told Steve Kim of boxingscene.com when asked about his thoughts on the fight planned for April 23.

Pacquiao and Khan reportedly came to terms for a showdown somewhere, with both fighters taking to Twitter to make almost identical announcements.

The two camps obviously tried to get the deal done without Arum’s knowledge, and now the Top Rank boss will soon figure things out.

Arum said he is set to sit down with Pacquiao’s adviser Michael Koncz to check on the details of the deal.

“Well, Mike Koncz is flying in to the United States now and we're going to meet tomorrow," Arum added.

It was Koncz who negotiated on Pacquiao’s behalf with parties in the United Arab Emirates, with Dubai as a likely location.

Arum originally planned to pit Pacquiao against Australian prospect Jeff Horn, holding talks with Horn’s representatives in a bid to stage the fight in Brisbane.

But those talks seem to be fruitless now that Pacquiao is keen to take on Khan, his former stablemate and sparring partner.

There are reports that at least $38 million is being dangled on Pacquiao for the fight.

Arum, for his part, said everything will be clear soon.

“I don't know what offer we’re talking about but obviously we're all collegial, we're all on the same team and we'll discuss what is the best move for Manny tomorrow,” he said.
