From 210 lbs., Geoff Eigenmann has trimmed down to 170, never mind if friends said that he needs to shed more pounds.

How did he do it?

Maybe the “fat memo” the GMA management had sent him (and his cousin Sid Lucero) had something to do with it?

“In a way, yes,” admitted Geoff, 28, who pigged out during his extended vacation in the US.

“I am kind of hard-headed,” said Geoff, “and I wasn’t careful with my diet.”

Luckily, he soon wised up. He hit the gym and essayed martial arts like Muay Thai, Jiu-jitsu and wrestling. “I went back to the sports that I used to do. Also, I worked out with fighters. You see the result, don’t you? I’m happy with myself now.”

Indeed, Geoff looks “new,” as followers of the GMA fantasy series Adarna (which premiered last Nov. 18) must have happily noticed. Directed by Ricky Davao, Adarna is the story of Ada (played by Kylie Padilla) who is believed to be a powerful healer. In the modernized remake of the classic Ibong Adarna, Geoff plays Migo, a basketball player who is after Ada, including two rivals Bok (a street-smart kanto boy played by Benjamin Alves) and Falco (a fearless warrior played by Mikael Daez).
