Salon special
Eunice Lucero, associate beauty editor of Pink magazine, shares with us her top five salons for knockout prom looks!

(Grab a copy of Pink magazine’s January/February issue with Vanessa Hudgens from High School Musical on the cover for all your prom needs.)
Azta Urban Salon
Find it at: 2/F MetroWalk Commercial Complex, Meralco Avenue, Ortigas Center, Pasig City; 2/F SMRC Building, Katipunan Avenue cor. B. Gonzales Street, Loyola Heights, Quezon City (in front of Miriam College); 4/F Body Senses, Robinson’s MetroEast, Marcos Highway, Pasig City

Call: 631-7915, 928-4208 or 682-2107

Price: P990

Why we like them: They’re well versed in beauty trends and their stylists are easy to talk to. They’re also very modern and do things quick — you get a full, polished look twice as fast!
Boots Salon
Find it at: The Courtyard, 26 Sgt. Esguerra Street, South Triangle, Quezon City

Call: 928-5588

Price: (Regular attendant) P1,200; (guest artist) P1,500

Why we like them: Boots’ menu of services is straightforward, yet offers the latest in hair and makeup packages. It’s a one-stop shop for beautifying before the big night! I personally love their mani-pedis.
Propaganda Salon
Find it at: 3/F Unit 303, Greenbelt Mall 1, Paseo de Roxas, Makati City Call: 893-4098

Why we like them: Makeup is clean, professional, and though very studio-worthy (meaning it’ll last you the whole night), the artists at Propaganda still manage to make you look beautiful and not too "done." Hairdos are never over-styled, either.

Price: (Under Alex Carbonel/Jing Monis) P5,000; (guest artist) P3,000; (in-house artist) P2,000
You Salon
Find it at: 3/F The Fort Strip, Bonifacio Global City

Call: 818-1968

Price: (local artist) P1,800; (Korean artist) P2,500

Why we like them: You Salon has separate Korean creative directors for hair and makeup, and they each ensure a quality yet original look for you at the prom. Ms. Becky is a whiz with the curling iron, and even does hair and lash extensions. Fab!
Shuji Kida Hair Salon
Find it at: Unit 1F G/F City Center Bldg., 338 Ortigas Avenue, Greenhills, San Juan

Call: 726-9928

Price: P1,500

Why we like them: They give a great semi-permanent hair coloring treatment that’s perfect for the prom. Style of makeup? Approachable yet very kawaii (Japanese for cute).
