MANILA, Philippines — Farm Fresh relied on its scoring machine in Helene Rousseaux as it repulsed Choco Mucho, 25-18, 25-13, 18-25, 26-24, to seize the solo lead in Pool A in the PVL Reinforced Conference at the Filoil EcoOil Arena.

Rousseaux was in her usual attack mode as she unloaded a match-high 27 points laced with 25 kills.

It was the Foxies’ fourth win in five starts, enough to send them straight to the top in their bracket.

“Round one, round two, wherever we are, we will try to win as much games as possible,” said the prolific Belgian spiker.

Rousseaux lamented their losing focus in the last few sets.

“I mean obviously it was stressful in the end. We were a little bit less concentrated, we were a little hard on ourselves,” she said. “It’s just a good thing we won in the end.”

The Flying Titans dropped to 2-2.

Earlier, Capital1 pulled the rug from under Cignal, 25-23, 25-23, 25-21, to claim its second win in four games.

Oleksandra Bytsenko led the way with 23 points including 22 on kills while Bella Belen chipped in 11 as the Solar Spikers bolstered their chances of claiming one of the top three spots in Pool A and an outright quarterfinal slot.

The Super Spikers stumbled to 2-2.

“So I’m very happy and very proud of them because we worked as a team,” said Capital1 coach Jorge de Brito.

“We adjusted at the right moment,” he added.
