MANILA, Philippines — Like their five-on-five counterparts in the PBA, players in the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 will need to practice minimum health standards in their own season bubble in Calamba.

Meaning, like what is being implemented in the PBA's 45th season, players in the 3x3 league will not be allowed to high-five and shake hands with each other inside and outside of games.

This was what Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 lead physician Dr. Butch Ong reiterated during a press conference last Wednesday.

"We will still be practicing our minimum health standards inside the bubble. Handshakes and high fives are discouraged during the conduct of the games inside the bubble," said Ong.

"In fact, kahit hindi naglalaro, they will still be performing physical distancing etc.. Staff and other members will [also] be wearing their masks and face shields," he added.

This to ensure a healthy and safe environment for all parties involved during the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Scrimmages have already begun in the league's bubble inside the Inspire Sports Academy in Calamba, Laguna following negative COVID-19 tests for the initial seven teams that arrived in the bubble.

The league's President's Cup is set to kick off next week, starting with a pre-season event on Monday until the Grand Finals on October 30.
