MANILA, Philippines — Olympic Qualifying Tournament-bound Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas edged Indonesia, 21-17, in the finale Saturday evening to complete a five-game sweep of the Jakarta 3x3 International Invitational Challenge 2019 in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The team of Joshua Munzon, Alvin Pasaol, Santi Santillan and Troy Rike didn’t drop a single match as they beat the national teams of Chinese-Taipei, Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam before repeating over the Indonesians in the gold-medal match.

“We are preparing for the OQT and this is a good tournament to start,” said Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas coach Eric Altamirano.

The Filipinos also got a sneak peak of some of the teams set to play in the Southeast Asian Games set next month in Manila.
