Batang PBA tourney under way

MANILA, Philippines — The Batang PBA mini-tournament starts today at the JCSGO gym in Cubao with 196 graduates of the Batang PBA summer program composing 12 teams carrying the colors of the pro league’s member clubs seeing action.

The tournament, featuring 8-11 years old, kicks off with a triple-bill with Columbian Dyip and GlobalPort clashing at 10:30 a.m., Ginebra and Blackwater facing off at 12 noon, and San Miguel and Phoenix colliding at 1:30 p.m.

PBA commissioner Willie Marcial will grace the opener at 10 a.m. 

The Batang PBA summer camp at the UP College of Human Kinetics put together 25 coaches from various schools and universities to work on the participants.
