Gasquet enters Cincinnati Masters quarterfinals

MANILA, Philippines – Philippine Maverick Richard Gasquet continued to impress in the Cincinnati Masters, edging Croatia’s Marin Cilic on Friday, 7-5, 6-3, to advance in the quarterfinals.

The victory set the 12th-seeded Gasquet up for a clash with superstar Andy Murray, who defeated Grigor Dimitrov of Bulgaria, 4-6, 7-6 (3), 7-5 at Lindner Family Tennis Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Murray beat Novak Djokovic to win the title in Montreal on Sunday. He'll play Gasquet in the quarterfinals as he tries to become the seventh man to win Montreal and Cincinnati back-to-back.

The French Gasquet is a member of the Philippine Mavericks, who will see action in the International Premier Tennis League this December.
