One Birthday: Years of Extraordinary Impact

2011. The journey began with a simple belief—that every child deserves a chance to dream. Through Project Center Court in Apalit Pampanga (MVP’s hometown) opportunities were created by building a basketball court, providing sports equipment, and supporting students with team uniforms and rubber shoes.

More than a birthday celebration, this is a story of purpose in action. Through the years, PLDT and PLDT-Smart Foundation Chairman Manuel V Pangilinan’s birthday has inspired initiatives that uplift communities and bring together partners and volunteers in a shared mission of service.

Each photograph captures a milestone in a journey of compassion – one that has grown from a simple act of giving, into a legacy of hope, proving that most meaningful celebrations are those that transform lives and leave a positive impact on generations to come.

2014. From building opportunities came building communities. The MVP Building in San Fernando, Pampanga became a center of hope in Central Luzon, extending healthcare, mobility assistance, and compassionate service to those who need it most.

2020. When the world changed, the mission remained the same. The annual celebration shifted toward pandemic response, delivering meals and relief to hospitals, frontliners, and communities facing unprecedented challenges.

2018. The commitment to children continued to grow. Together with the MVP Tulong Kapatid partners, support reached the Camp Aquino Child Development Center in Tarlac, creating better spaces for children to learn, play, and thrive.
