CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — Eight intelligence officers arrested in connection with a drug raid on the wrong house in Lucena, Quezon have been relieved from their posts.

Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth Lucas, Calabarzon police director, said the officers were reassigned to the Regional Headquarters Holding Accounting Section yesterday.

Lucas directed the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division to coordinate with the Regional Internal Affairs Service for a parallel administrative investigation.

He assured the public that the officers, if found guilty, would be punished to the full extent of the law.

The eight were charged with grave threat, unjust vexation and violation of domicile before the city prosecutor’s office on Friday last week.

Lucena police chief Lt.Col. Reynaldo Reyes has been relieved for command responsibility.

The complainant, Renelyn Rianzales, 52, said a group of policemen searched her house in Barangay Ransohan at 3:15 a.m. on Friday.

Rianzales said the policemen threatened and held her at gunpoint.
