2 fishermen rescued off Occidental Mindoro
Responding personnel of the Philippine Coast Guard and a team from the provincial disaster management office spotted Joel Damalerio, 80, and Rolan Ranque, 51, clinging to their boat near Cabra Island.

MANILA, Philippines — Two fishermen were rescued after their boat capsized in the waters off Lubang, Occidental Mindoro on Saturday.

Responding personnel of the Philippine Coast Guard and a team from the provincial disaster management office spotted Joel Damalerio, 80, and Rolan Ranque, 51, clinging to their boat near Cabra Island.

The fishermen were brought to a rural health clinic for medical attention. They were found to be in good physical condition.

The boat was towed toward a nearby bamboo raft.
