COTABATO CITY, Philippines — Six persons died in separate vehicular accidents in General Santos City and Sultan Kudarat over the weekend.

Anacito Amoguis and his son John Paul, 6, were declared dead on arrival in a hospital where his daughter Trixie, 5, also died while being treated for injuries, according to Col. Paul Bometivo, General Santos City police chief.

Reports said the Amoguises were on a motorcycle that collided with a sport utility vehicle driven by Fernando Letigio, 46, along the Digos-Makar Highway in Barangay Katangawan on Sunday afternoon.

Letigio surrendered to authorities after the accident.

Meanwhile, in Sultan Kudarat, three persons – Monera Teliban, Dhido Kabangkalan and Elsa Uso – were declared dead on arrival in a hospital after their vehicle fell off a cliff in Kalamansig town on Saturday.

Reports said the vehicle developed engine trouble, causing the driver to lose control of the wheel.
