Woman buried alive in Bataan landslide

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines — A 27-year-old woman died in a landslide that buried her house in Abucay, Bataan on Saturday.

Roselyn de la Cruz was already dead when she was recovered under the mud by rescue workers at past 8 a.m., according to a report received by Col. Romell Velasco, Bataan police director.

Reports said it was raining heavily when the incident occurred at around 2 a.m.

The victim’s father, who was residing in another house, discovered the incident at around 7 a.m.

He immediately sought the help of the local officials and the police.
