Cop shoots Navy vehicle; 2 wounded
CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — Two Navy personnel were wounded when a policeman shot their vehicle in Barangay Bacungan in Puerto Princesa, Palawan on Monday.
Philippine National Police chief Gen. Dionardo Carlos said the PNP Internal Affairs Service has started its investigation into the incident involving Cpl. John Viente Ugalde of the 401st B Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion.
Maj. Noel Manalo, Police Station 2 chief, said the Navy service vehicle rolled over when the right rear wheel was hit.
“I will never tolerate any personnel involved in conduct unbecoming like this,” Brig. Gen. Sidney Hernia, Mimaropa police director, said.
