Fires hit Marikina, Parañaque

MANILA, Philippines — At least seven families were left homeless in a fire that hit a residential area in Marikina City on Wednesday night.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the blaze broke out along Magnolia street in Barangay Barangka at around 7:12 p.m.

Arson investigators said they have yet to determine the cause of the blaze.

In Parañaque, at least 60 families were displaced after a fire struck Barangay San Isidro on Wednesday.

The BFP said around 30 houses were razed by the fire, which reached second alarm. – Ralph Edwin Villanueva
