MANILA, Philippines — Some roads in Manila and Pasig will be closed to traffic for parades marking the celebration of the Feast of the Sto. Niño this weekend.

In yesterday’s advisory, the Manila Police District’s Traffic Enforcement Unit said the Lakbayaw Festival will be held at 8 a.m. today.

The Lakbayaw Festival will start at the Sto. Niño Church in Tondo and go throught Ylaya street, turn right on CM Recto Avenue, right on Asuncion street, left on Lakandula street, right on Wagas street, right on Moriones street and left on Juan Luna street.

Participants will then make a U-turn at Pritil street, turn right on Herbosa street, right on Velasquez street, left on Ugbo street, left on F. Varona street, left on Perla street, right on Franco street, straight to Moriones street and J. Nolasco street until they return the church.

The grand procession, which will be held at 4 a.m. on Sunday, will start at the Sto. Niño Church and go straight to Lakandula street, right on Asuncion street, right on Morga street, left on Juan Luna street, U-turn on Pritil and N. Zamora street, right at Herbosa street, left on Franco street, right on Coral street, right on Sta. Maria/Yangco, left on Herbosa street, left on Velasquez street, left on Perla street, right on Sta. Maria street, straight to J. Nolasco street, left on L. Chacon street and back to the church.

In Pandacan, the MPD said Jesus, East Zamora, Carren and Laura streets will be closed starting at 11 a.m. today for the Buling-buling Fiesta 2020.

In Pasig, at least 11 roads will be closed from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday for the 19th Grand Bambino Festival parade.

The affected roads include Caruncho Avenue (westbound), Road 1 and 2, M.H. Del Pilar street, E. Angeles street, Dr. Pilapil street, Dr. Sixto Antonio Avenue (Barangay Kapasigan), A. Mabini street, Plaza Rizal Intersection, P. Burgos street, Dr. Garcia street and R. Jabson street (Barangays Bambang and Malinao).

Motorists have been advised to take alternative routes.
