FDA warns public vs 6 unregistered food products

MANILA, Philippines — The Food and Drug Administration has warned the public against six food products that are not registered with the FDA.

These are KC’s Peanut Butter, Aika’s Peanut Butter, Grace Creamy Peanut Butter, Right Choice Raisins, Special Barquiron with Pili and Special Polvoron with Pili.

In an advisory, the FDA said post-marketing surveillance showed that these unregistered products are being sold in the market.

 “Consumption of unregistered food products may pose health hazards to the public,” the agency said.

 “Since these products have not gone through evaluation and testing, the agency could not guarantee their quality and safety,” it added.

The FDA warned stores and other establishments to refrain from selling these products.
