3 die in Basilan gun attack

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines – Three persons were killed, including the alleged gunman, in an attack on a remote village in Isabela City, Basilan, Thursday afternoon, police said yesterday.

Teacher Ryan Ebol and his companion Joel Baguio were on a motorcycle when Ansa Yoto Maglangit reportedly waylaid them before 6 p.m.

Maglangit was killed in an alleged shootout with responding policemen.

A caliber .45 pistol was recovered at the scene.

Two minors, who were seen with Maglangit during the gun attack, were arrested.
