BIR exec in Zamboanga missing
ZAMBOANGA City, Philippines - Security forces in Zamboanga provinces have launched search operations for a provincial officer of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) who has been missing since Saturday.
Atty Nasrollah Conding, revenue district officer of Zamboanga del Sur based in Pagadian City, was last seen driving his service car, a red Hyundai Accent with plate number KFS 692, on Saturday.
The revenue officer was on his way home to Iligan City.
Chief Superintendent Juanito Vaño, director of Police Regional Office 9 (PRO), said that investigations were underway to determine if Conding had been abducted.
Capt. Jefferson Somera, spokesman of 1st Army Division based in Zamboanga del sur, said troops in Lanao del Norte have been alerted on the disappearance of the BIR officer.
