11 killed, 6 hurt in Nueva Vizcaya mishap

BAMBANG, Nueva Vizcaya — Eleven people were killed and six others are in critical condition when the jeepney they were riding in collided with a passenger bus here yesterday morning, police said.

Initial investigation showed the bus tried to avoid a kuliglig (handtractor)) and instead slammed into the jeepney.

The victims were on their way to attend a relative’s wedding in Pangasinan when they met the tragedy along the national highway in Barangay Macate here. — Charlie Lagasca
