Figuring out the fun in formal

MANILA, Philippines - If there’s anything that drew more attention than the cute poster invite by EWS for our 10th anniversary, it was the little note at the bottom asking everyone to come dressed in ”fun formal.” The way people reacted, you’d assume we’d requested guests to surrender their first born at the door — or even worse, their fancy footwear.

While some struggled, others flourished — embracing the somber tones of formal or going completely opposite and went for color and texture and hyper-florid accessories.
