What's your Dragon Creation?
MANILA, Philippines - 2012 is the Year of the Dragon and it’s time to celebrate the Annual Chinese New Year Art Competition with The Philippine STAR and Swatch. This year, the theme of the competition is the “Enter the Dragon” T-Shirt Competition — a competition open to all.
Eric Delos Santos, a young fashion designer and a member of the Young Designers Guild of the Philippines, shares his dragon design to help inspire participants in creating their own dragon tee. His inspiration is the Swatch New Gent Brown Rebel. Making use of the color of the dial, he accentuates his dragon with touches of pink and used the color of the strap as the base color for his design. He explains, “Dragons are usually perceived as vicious and fiery beasts. I, on the other hand, see them as graceful creatures. Their movements have rhythm and coordination.”
