Fun Run in Alabang on Dec. 6

-

MANILA, Philippines - The Zonta Club of Alabang will be hosting a family-friendly fun run this Sunday, Dec. 6, at the Cuenca Covered Court at Ayala Alabang Village. The two-kilometer race, dubbed the “Christmas Carnivale Fun Run ‘n’ Roll,” will begin at 8 a.m. and is open to adults and children of all ages.

The Christmas Carnivale Fun Run ‘n’ Roll is a unique race. Adults may complete the course by running (or walking or strolling). But children 12 years old and below may choose to join the race by running or rolling “on wheels.” They may ride a bicycle, scooter, skateboard, stroller, or any other type of non-motorized vehicle.

Maymay Liechtenstein, Zonta Alabang president, describes the event as “a perfect venue for the whole family to spend a lovely Sunday morning together, with much love and laughter. After the race, they can spend the day at the bazaar browsing through our specially-chosen concessionaires.”

The fun run is one of the many activities lined up for Zonta Club of Alabang’s yearly bazaar called the Christmas Carnivale, which is touted as one of the top three bazaars in Manila. The two-day event will include an array of gift booths and food stalls, as well as family-centered activities such as a magic show, performances by fire dancers, jugglers, and stilt walkers, a dog-and-owner fashion show, and many other attractions.

The Fun Run ‘n’ Roll fee is P300 person, but children eight years old and below can join for free. Proceeds from the race will benefit the projects of the Zonta Club of Alabang. Sponsors include Gold’s Gym, St. James Water, San Mig Pub, and Lifeline Rescue.

Interested parties for the fun run may contact Gem at 0920-9200953 or e-mail gem@manosa.com.
