MasterCard supports Rags2Riches

MANILA, Philippines - MasterCard invites all its cardholders to support Rags2Riches through the RIIR by Aranaz fall-holiday collection exhibit on Sept. 29 at the North Court, The Power Plant Mall, Rockwell Center Makati City.

The exhibit will showcase eco-friendly bags made of scrap fabrics and recyclable materials creatively designed by renowned bag designer Amina Aranaz-Alunan and woven by the women of Payatas. It is organized by Rags2Riches Inc., a social business enterprise that creates a diverse range of eco-ethical products utilizing scrap cloths discarded by garment factories around the Philippines. 

At the exhibit, MasterCard cardholders can make a difference and contribute to the livelihood of the women living in the Payatas dumpsite area through the MasterCard Purchase with Purpose platform. For every bag purchased with a MasterCard card, one US dollar will be donated by MasterCard to the Rags2Riches Enterprise Activation Program (REAP), a community project benefiting the indigent women of Payatas. 

After the exhibit, cardholders can continue to support Rags2Riches through the MasterCard Purchase with Purpose program by making purchases at the Aranaz store in Power Plant Mall until Dec. 31.
