100-plus top painters help raise funds for Payatas kids
MANILA, Philippines - More than a hundred top painters from all over the country are set to back a fund raising project to build a day care center in Payatas, QC.
The project, dubbed “Art For Youth’s Sake: Eksibit Para Sa Kabataan Ng Payatas,” conceptualized and organized by Precious Hipolito Castelo, IBC-13 Expressbalita news anchor through the Helping Hands Foundation, will be held on Sept. 28 at the Congress Lobby, House of Representatives, QC.
“We would like to bring hope to the families at very core of poverty in Quezon City by establishing a child-friendly center of education for their youngsters. The fight against poverty can be won through education and it can start in Payatas through arts,” Castelo said.
The activity aims to generate funds for the construction of the Day Care Center in Payatas, wherein 50 percent of the proceeds will go to the artists and the other half, to the Foundation.
