The church of style

- JR Isaac -

The ladies who all trooped to attend Stylebible’s launch came in their short dresses. They also wore key pieces inspired by fall/winter collections. Lovely statement neckpieces adorned their dresses. There was also a lot of color, such as jewel tones, and gladiator shoes were all the rage. LBDs were also an obvious choice, adding classic elegance to the room. As for accessories, the ladies kept it minimal with a few key pieces such as cocktail rings or hoop earrings.

Club Ascend was the catwalk as fashionistas marched for Preview magazine’s on-line counterpart, Stylebible.ph, for its launch party. The night marked the arrival of another platform for presenting fashion beyond print and TV. Stylebible.ph is an online fashion journal that promises to keep fashion trendsetters, fashion police and fashion victims as well in the loop on the latest buzz shaping the industry. It features fashion forums, the hottest styles and an interesting behind–the-scenes look at Preview’s monthly cover — guaranteed to make the site a definite part of your online ìBookmarksî list.

Anika Aquino

Anika’s low-cut gladiator heels are from Possibility at Crossings; her bag is from Baguio and the dress is by Pia Gladys Perey from her brand White Kitten in Sydney, also available at Crossings.

Ruby Gan

Ruby wears a Joey Samson creation. The lace appealed to her; however, she thought it was ìtoo sweetî for her taste so Joey added some edge by using strips of cloth to cover the fabric, but still made sure that some lace peeks through. The bag is vintage Gucci and her shoes are from Zara. She keeps her accessories simple: diamond stud earrings and a cocktail ring to complement the dress.

Rosanna Ocampo

Fashion designer Rosanna wears her own design that is part of her ‘50s-inspired holiday collection. The shoes are Missoni and the bag is Gucci.

Anne Bella

Stylist and writer Anne wears a vintage dress, a necklace from Felicity, shoes from Vivienne Westwood for Nine West and a clutch from Old Navy. Her style boasts loose silhouettes that are simple yet appealing.

Bianca Crisologo

Bianca wears a cream, draped dress by Tyler, gold closed-toe, ankle-strap shoes from Zara and a gold clutch from Kate Spade. Her style is elegant and classic.

Kristine Bautista

Kristine wears a T-shirt from a thrift store and pants she customized herself; her shoes are white Doc Martins and her bag is Tokidoki by Le Sportsac. This fashion design student of La Salle College International describes her style as ìennui hip.î

Charina Sarte

Charina wears her own creation with Givenchy gladiator shoes and a Chanel purse. She wears this ‘70s rock chick look with barely-there makeup and tousled hair.

Isha Andaya

Isha wears a Mondrian-inspired dress recycled from old T-shirts by Joey Samson. Happy David designed the bib necklace and the cocktail ring. The shoes are purple Melissa Vinyls and the bag is custom-made by Lally of Vintage Restore. Her fashion inspiration is Edie Sedgwick. Isha is the managing editor of stylebible.ph.

Loralee Soong

Loralee wears a belted batwing dress by Hindy Tantoco for Culte Femme with gladiator sandals from Zara and a Chanel bag. She is the co-founder of SOFA.

Daryl Chang

Daryl wears a Louis Claparols design, carries a vintage Chanel 2.55 bag and her shoes are from Remarcello. She refers to her style as ìnouveau ‘20s flapper.î

Cheryl Tantengco

Cheryl wears a Charina Sarte dress, Zara platforms and she carries a Chanel lizard skin bag. She accessorizes with a U-boat watch, regular silver hoops and a few rings she bought in Baguio.
