Maybe it’s the advent of boots or heavy leggings, but everything feels heavier after the swift passage of summer. With cumbersome layers dragging everyone down, wouldn’t it be lovely to indulge in a bit of a pre-rainy season summer fling?
Tenorio Manila shoe designer Brian Tenorio looked to the achingly sexy offbeat style that characterizes any true-blue summer person: the show of golden skin, the flash of smiling white teeth against a burning sunset, and the feel of dewy grass on your feet on a hot day in May.
Debuting a collection featuring six sandals in summery styles dubbed Summer Flings, a shift from the high-fashion men’s shoes in Italian leather and the dressy hyper-stilettos for women the label is known for, Tenorio says, "They’re not your basic waterproof beach thongs, these leather-rubber combinations are perfect for those veranda-moments or those tropical evenings when less is more."
