Slimagine a techie heaven

Ronnie James Dio, formerly of Black Sabbath, once said, "Its not how small you are, but how big you write your name."
Samsung recently launched its sleekest, slimmest, and handiest handheld phone the Samsung SGH-D820 (also known as the Slimagine model) with features that could give the shivers to its bigger, bulkier competition. After all, slim and substance can come in one package.
(Remember the prehistoric ages of cell phones when units were as big as toasters? I am exaggerating, of course, but you get the point. We truly live in mesmerizing times.)
Slimagine has an elegant black exterior (that everyone from Glimmer Twin fans to Olsen Twins wannabes) go for. With a depth of 14.8 mm, the SGH D820 is a slide-up phone with a full line-up of multimedia features. Apart from having the largest LCD screen available in the market with its 2.12 width, it is also functional across all GSM frequency bands with its Quad Band capability. It also has a rotating 1.3 Megapixel camera. I could almost picture techies salivating.
For music buffs, there are interesting features like digital power amps, embedded dual stereo speakers, and technology that supports MP3, AAC, and AAC+ audio files. Aside from its 73 MB, the Slimagine offers additional storage with its microSD external memory. With the way things are going, cell phones in the future could store entire movies. Maybe even the whole Stanley Kubrick oeuvre. Storage space odyssey, indeed.
At the SGH-D820 launch at Fiamma, Samsung introduced its Slimagine endorsers that included publishing man Ernie Lopez, Regatta managing director Mia Floirendo, bag designer Amina Aranaz-Alunan, and model Robby Mananquil.
