‘Party for a Cause’ at Seda BGC
MANILA, Philippines - Seda BGC is holding a “Party for a Cause” on Sept. 30 at its Straight Up roof deck bar. Tickets will be on sale for an extraordinary “aperi-dinner” buffet, plus the chance to bid in an auction of exciting items and win various raffle prizes. Proceeds will benefit the Center of Excellence in Public Elementary Education (CENTEX), a project of Ayala Foundation.
The event begins at 6 p.m. with guests partaking of an all-night buffet with exquisite food and drinks. Renowned media personalities will host the auction which will include artworks, hotel stays and other lifestyle items.
Musical entertainment will span classic 80’s to current hits, alternately provided by the hottest band in the club and bar circuit, Sinyma, Straight Up’s resident tastemaker, Cocoy Puyat and guest DJ Boyet Sison, promising a remarkable night of food, fun and non-stop entertainment.
Seda BGC’s Party for a Cause is inspired by “The Global Party,” a rapidly expanding world-wide movement that aims to raise substantial donations and awareness for charitable causes through the most prestigious events happening simultaneously within the month of September.
The Global Party was started by British philanthropists in London in 2011 and this year, expands to Asia, with Seda BGC the first hotel in the Philippines to participate.
The event beneficiary, CENTEX, provides holistic, high-quality primary education for children from economically disadvantaged families in two locations – Tondo, Manila and Bauan, Batangas.
In addition to the regular school curriculum, CENTEX trains artistically-inclined students in special courses, including music and dance.
